How a session works: from the idea to the appointment
Five steps separate an idea from a finished piece. Here is each one, in order, with the policy that holds your date.
How do you book a tattoo with Dymon Jimenez?
Booking happens in a fixed order: quote, date, deposit, session. Nothing is held until the deposit is paid, and nothing is paid until the piece has been quoted. That order protects your time and his.
Consultations are held in English and Spanish. You can talk to Dymon directly or to Milena, who coordinates his schedule. Either way, the conversation covers the same ground.
Step one: the quote
Every new piece starts with a quote by WhatsApp or phone. Send the idea, what it means to you, the placement and an approximate size. Reference images help, and so do clear photos of the area if there is already work nearby.
There are no published prices. Each piece is quoted according to its size, its placement, its level of detail and the number of sessions it needs. A palm-sized Traditional rose and a Neo-Oriental back piece are different projects, and the quote reflects that.
The same process applies to cover ups and to retouches or restorations of older tattoos. For those, clear photos of the existing tattoo in natural light matter even more, because the quote depends on what is already on the skin.
The quote also defines how long your session will run. That number shapes everything after it, from the date you pick to how you prepare for the day.

Step two: the design
Dymon draws each design on an iPad, built for the person and the placement. Nothing is pulled from a sheet on the wall. The direction is agreed during the quote: the visual language, the composition and the practical details.
If you are not sure which style fits your idea, that question belongs in the quote too. Dymon works in five visual languages: Traditional, Neo-Oriental, Color, Black & Grey and Anime. The quote is where the right one for your piece gets chosen.
On the day, the drawing becomes a stencil. After the stencil goes on, Dymon works freehand with a marker directly on the skin to fit the design to the anatomy. He did exactly that on a shoulder cover up that had to connect with an existing full sleeve, adjusting the lines until both pieces read as one.
Step three: the $100 deposit
Once the quote is agreed, you hold your date on the site with a $100 deposit, paid through Square's secure checkout. The deposit is deducted from the total price of your piece. The balance is paid in person at the session.
The booking policy is short, and it is firm. The deposit is non-refundable. Appointments cannot be rescheduled or cancelled, and if you cancel or do not show up, you lose the deposit.
Read those lines before you pick a date. The calendar is built around confirmed sessions, so choose a day you can keep.
Step four: where the session happens
Dymon does not run a shop of his own. His base is New Jersey, where he works by appointment and goes where the project requires within the state. Orlando, Charlotte and Dallas open by season, when he works as a guest artist and announces dates per city.
The exact location for your date is confirmed with you before the session. If you want one of the seasonal dates, ask during your quote which city lines up with your timeline.
Step five: the day of the session
Sleep well the night before and eat a real meal before you arrive. Wear clothes that give easy access to the placement, and bring water and a snack if the session is long. Bring any references you shared during the quote.
The session runs for the length set in the quote. Large pieces such as a full sleeve or a back are usually planned over several sessions, so the first date may cover the linework or one section of the design.
You leave with written aftercare instructions. Follow them as given, and reach out if something about the healing worries you.
